Awake · Same-Day · Natural
Refreshed.
Never redone.
This is a MILA.
For a century, turning back the clock meant a facelift: general anesthesia, an operating room, weeks in hiding. This isn't that. You're awake, home the same day, and for months afterward your own collagen keeps building on the result — so you walk out looking like yourself, just further ahead than you were, instead of forever chasing it.
THE CULTURAL MOMENT
The overfilled era is over.
Filler volumes are falling. Dissolutions are climbing. "Filler face" has become shorthand for trying too hard. But no one stopped caring how they look — they stopped wanting to look done. The most common request in aesthetic consultations today is three words: natural looking results. MILA was built to deliver exactly that.
And you no longer have to wait until a facelift is the only option left. MILA is the earlier, awake alternative — done before the years add up, so you stay ahead instead of catching up.
prioritize "healthy and fresh" over reversing aging
focus on skin quality over adding volume
consultation request: "natural looking results."

OUR PROCEDURES
There's a Word for This Now.
Most practices hand you a menu and let you assemble a face. We don't. We do one thing — refined until it earned its own name. A MILA is awake, same-day, and keeps building for months as your own collagen does the work. When the neck or eyes are part of the picture, we address them in the same visit. Nothing more. Nothing else.
Ketamine sedation is administered by a licensed anesthesia provider in an AAAHC-accredited facility. Not all patients are candidates. Discussed during consultation.

Dr. Spero Theodorou
Founder & Chief Medical Officer · Manhattan's Upper East Side
Dr. Theodorou didn't adopt the technology behind MILA — he invented it. As Chief Medical Officer of InMode Ltd. from 2015 to 2024, he developed FaceTite, BodyTite, EmbraceRF, and Morpheus8: the laser and RF platforms that now power the MILA Facelift.
The MILA Method is his proprietary answer to a broken category. Laser-assisted precision. Ketamine sedation. Natural results that build over 90 days. MILA is the only practice where the surgeon who invented the technology performs the procedure it was designed for.
Dr. Theodorou serves as Section Editor for Liposuction at the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal. His Upper East Side practice draws patients from fashion, media, and the luxury wellness world — where discretion and natural outcomes are non-negotiable.
What Everyone Wants
to Know About MILA.
What is MILA Face?
MILA Face is a surgical practice built around one procedure — a MILA — performed by surgeons who developed the technology it uses. Laser-assisted technique, awake without general anesthesia, results that build for up to 90 days. We're not a spa and not a filler clinic. We do one thing, and it's surgery.
Is a MILA a real surgical procedure?
Yes — this is surgery. A MILA addresses the SMAS layer, repositions tissue, and removes excess skin. It's not a non-surgical alternative: it's a surgical procedure performed with a laser-assisted technique, without general anesthesia. The outcome is structural correction, not a surface treatment.
Where is MILA Face located?
MILA Face operates in accredited outpatient facilities on Manhattan's Upper East Side, in Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive, and coming soon to Miami and Dallas. Many patients travel to MILA and coordinate scheduling with their care team.
What is the technology behind MILA?
Dr. Theodorou co-developed it. As Chief Medical Officer of InMode (2015–2024), he co-developed FaceTite, BodyTite, Morpheus8, and EmbraceRF — the laser-assisted platforms that form the clinical foundation of a MILA. It's why the practice exists: to apply that technology to the procedure it was designed for, performed by surgeons trained in it.
What makes a MILA different from a traditional facelift?
A traditional facelift typically uses general anesthesia, larger incisions, and four to six weeks of recovery. A MILA uses a laser-assisted technique at every surgical layer, no general anesthesia, and smaller incisions — which typically means less bruising, faster recovery, and results that keep building for up to 90 days. Most patients return to normal activity within one to two weeks.
